New Zealand officials who submit publications for classification are court officials, members of the New Zealand Police and Customs Service, and officials in the Censorship Compliance Unit of the Department of Internal Affairs.
These officials have an automatic right of submission, which means that they do not need to seek the leave of the Chief Censor to submit a publication for classification to the Classification Office.
